Pruning

I had always wanted a Bonsai, and just recieved my first
 one as a gift.  I'm now the proud owner of a juniper 
procumbens.  I live in an apartment in new york and would 
appreciate any information you could pass on to me.

         I'M NEW AT THIS AND WAS ALWAYS FASCINATED BY THE ART SO I DECIDED TO START AND JUST WONDERING HOW TO TAKE CARE OF MY FIRST TREE.
